A dying fire,
Beginning to wane
A solitary raindrop,
On a window pane.
My heart withers away
Into a void of emptiness
All becasue of you,
And the lack of your caress.

Say what you will,
Nothing will change
Do what you do,
But it feels so strange
To see my first love
In love with another,
To feel such pain
when you don't even bother.

And now, because of this
Sweet, joyful memory
The present is a bitter,
Cold imagery
Of glinting knives
Going through my heart.
All because of her will
To split us apart.
