so bad my eyes are bleeding
longing for that feeling
of life inside me
a reason to live, to breathe, to...love

yet, days are now a blur
hateful stares and secrets shouted
cheap therapy and crimson healing

because their words are bullets
stinging at first
then pain...never leaving
wounds heal, but scars remain
hidden in plain sight

but as always
I'll pretend
paint a smile and laugh along
though these eyes cant hide
they show my soul
gone with your life long ago

so fingernails were meant to be bitten
and tears tasted...with each kiss of your tiny hands
