The Healing of a Burning Pain

The unbroken cycle,
Untamed feelings flowing through my veins,
First jagged line in the innocent skin,
Who is there to blame?

The first salty sting fills the emptiness inside,
The red liquid flood replacing all the tears I find myself unable to cry.
Laced with salt and gasoline, lacerations ease my inner pain.
Set the open wound aflame, watch it waste away my days.

Silver knife, now stained with red,
As the innocence is bled,
Broken wings are laden with dread,
As the crimson tears are shed,
Distressing last goodbyes are said.

Say goodbye to your heart,
As the emotional massacre has found a way to start,
Before it consumes me, I empty my veins,
Least I see the black dawn of another day.
