I wish I could find my lucky star,
And make every wish come true
I wish the fighting could just stop
So we wouldn’t be so blue.

I wish all of the problems would just fade away
Our lives would be good again
Not having to worry so much
Just take away all the pain.

I really truly want us to be happy
Not always having to fight
The fighting seems to be neverending
Every day and every night.

Although my lucky start still hasn’t ever shone
One of these days it will
And then I can call it my own
I believe in my heart it will show up.

All I really want is for us to be a family again
Having all of our fun
But until I find that star of mine
There will be none.

I guess I just have to sit and wait
Until that star appears
Who knows how long it could take?
Days, months, years.

I will wait that long for it to shine
Because it would change everything
All the sadness would be gone
Happiness is what it would bring.
