New Friend

I'm glad that I've made a new friend,
'cause I thought I'd be lonely in the end.

I don't know if they know the real me,
but this I'll just have to see.

I don't want to lie about who I am,
and if they knew the real me, to them I'd be damned.

Since I'm not like them in anyway,
why do I go to school everyday?

Is it to see the funny guys?
Or to have someone laugh at me, and have tears sting my eyes.

I have to roam those lonely halls, and dodge all of the flying paper balls.

And put up with all that crappy homework,
and all the jocks, and the jerks.

But I'm glad to have made at least one new friend,
'cause I thought I'd be lonely in the end.
