Are my wings shattered or did they never exist,
broken into dust by a tentative touch,
never to smile with the sun
again.
Whisper as you stitch me together,
crying as the pieces no longer fit,
i smile at you with vacant absent eyes
and wish you would let me stay
staring up at your indifference
