I tried to be
The quote/un-quote
“Good woman”
In this dog eat dog world.
You tried to make me
The sacrificial lamb.
While I feign helplessness
You take your bites,
Chew me up,
Spit me out
When will you realize?
I’m not for your consumption
I don’t go down easy
If I leave a bitter taste
In your mouth,
Don’t say I wasn’t a good woman
Just remember
To the victor go the spoils,
As you stand there
Licking your lips for more.
