If I was crying
would you wipe away my tears
If I was dying
would you stay with me through the years
If I was always sad
would you always try to cheer me up
During times when I am moody
will you try to understand
If I feel I've gotten lost on the road of life
will you help me find my way
when I'm old and not so pretty
will you still say with pride, she's mine
if I gain a bit of weight

If I push you to far

If the house is messy
will you try not to lose your temper
if our kids fail a class in school

If it seems like God isn't there
will you look for him
if people don't like your faith
will you proclaim it even more
these are some of the questions
you must answer correctly
in order to get the key
that unlocks the love in my heart
That lasts for eternity
