Silent cries unheard through these walls,
everytime I get up I watch my self fall.
So many sleepless nights at the ceiling I stare,
expecting some sort of change, something I can bare.
It's gone on too long, I'm slowly tearing apart,
Can't someone see me, and mend my broken heart?
Behind this smile is sorrow unknown,
behind these eyes is a place you don't know.
I see things differently, beauty is deprived,
of this life I'm familiar with, it's something I strive.
But don't give me your pity, I'm sure I'll be fine,
once happiness replaces this state of mind.
