Escaping

Her feet hitting the ground,
becoming faster every second.
This dark hall she now runs from,
disappears at lights beckon.
Her steps seem to slow,
as she nears a familiar place.
The ocean waves now in view,
enrapturing her sullen face.
An angel helps her to her feet,
and brings her to the shore.
The cold shocks her for a moment,
as it's dont many times before.
Walking further she closes her eyes,
and memorizes each crashing wave.
This girl escaping a dark hall,
ventures on a new road she must brave.
