Silent words of truth no more to be heard,
Accusations now buried alongside absurd,
Never will you see that as hers are your eyes,
Nothing you know of this life full of lies.

For numbers are all that you ever shall hold,
To tell her to silence and to do as she’s told,
And if you listen to her, try to understand,
Then you may see that we are all just as damned.

Look hard at life’s face and you’ll see a thousand tales,
A thousand attempts and a thousand failed,
When will you see you’re as blind as the rest?
That you’re silent heartbreak, so hazily dressed.

Though as rain pours heavy throughout her souls flame,
Look deep into her world for no drop is the same,
For somewhere out there waits that innermost tear,
Screaming out from that rainstorm knowing she won’t even hear.

For they’ve stolen the language of the skies of her truth,
Aged her skin, slowly killing her darkening youth,
Drained the colour from her eyes eternally true,
To the love in her heart she’ll hold forever for you.

And they’ll blind her eyes and deafen her ears,
They’ll fill her soul with the reddest of tears,
But never in the light of all she holds true,
Will they ever my dear, take her heart from you.

The first few verses are about how I see people and life in general... later
on in the poem it goes on to talk about spirits taking all who i am (the
spirits give me my views on life and people, they make me very
introspective)... and the very last bit says they can take everything else,
but not my heart... nothing can kill true love.... I love you dave xxxx
