His Shooting Star

Blankets of shadows encompassing all,
But a corner arises and with a spellbinding call,
Appears a vision of light from the dark of the sky,
Spreading the wings of his star as away they do fly.

But winds are a stirring from slumber deep,
Gentle breeze awakes from dreamless sleep,
His shooting star blown far away,
Through the silenced night unto the day.

But her chains shall be ashes as dreams break free,
For tonight his eyes shall have power to see,
And he’ll never accept this lonesome day,
Where his heart and his soul are taken away.

Within his shooting star his kingdom stands,
Gliding to skies of distant lands,
And he’ll find her again trapped in winds afar,
Searching each night and one fateful day,
He’ll soar free yet again with his shooting star.
