You hide these feelings
pretend your just dreaming
but you know what’s going on
don’t hide those tears
for all these years you’ve kept these feelings
locked inside
I’m tired of trying
to pretend like were the perfect family
but we know how things are
why cant you just cry
scream at the top of your lungs against the pillow
wrapped against your face
tell your parents everything’s not ok
tell them how you feel about their separation and their nagging fights
don’t be afraid to yell
just tell them how you feel
no need to pretend this isn’t real
