Tears of a young woman

I am tired of running down your face and being wiped away
you never talk to me or ask me hows my day
you cover me with smiles putting up a show
and then when your'e alone you finally let me go
your heart has been stepped on left and right
and yet you still have the courage to get up and fight
you allow strangers to enter your world without knowing their names
and then when they walk out of your life your tears show the shame
shame on you for not following your heart
not thinking with your head but with your body part
everytime you mess up I take the fall
you release me and you don't ask for my permission at all
even though I'm clear I'm apart of you
so when you hurt I hurt too
as I sometimes fall in your pillow, I see you drowning in sorrow
convincing yourself that there will be no tomorrow
but your wrong you will have better days
your life is going to change in many ways
so let go of your anger and release your fears
I want you to listen to me because I am your tears
