Sweet Perfection

Eyes as green as summer meadows,
Lips the softest touch,
Skin as smooth as woven silk,
Perfection’s infinite clutch.

To love him more than love itself,
To drain that past reflection,
To destroy heart’s memory chained secure,
It can only be perfection.

Hand in hand upon the breeze,
Drifting far away,
And if apart, they’re never there,
Together every day.

Through the wind and through the rain,
Entwined in sunshine just the same,
For the wind it blows them far away,
Raindrops wash away the pain.

And perfection flows throughout his soul,
Cleansing all perception,
For no single soul shall ever know,
How there could be such sweet perfection.
