Smiling Suicide

You always seemed so strong,
With a smile on your face.
Where did we go wrong,
To not see the smile for what it was?
The smile was your lie.
Behind it were your secrets,
Including your plan for suicide.
How unexpected that was.
You seemed so perfect,
Seemed almost unbreakable.
So what made the effect,
To make you end your life.
It's killing me inside,
Cause I don't understand why,
Why you tried to hide,
All the pain you knew so well.
I wonder how long you stayed,
Living in your lie.
When did your happiness fade,
And your soul begin to die?
So many questions left unanswered,
Leaves a hole inside of me.
So many people have wondered,
Down to your grave,
Wishing for your return,
That will never come.
So many eyes have burned,
From the tears shed for you.
Did you know how much you'd be missed?
I think about you everyday.
I'm not the only one in distress,
Your death has caused great pain.
Where ever it is that you've gone,
I hope your at peace,
That your pain is finally done,
And you've found the happiness that you seeked.
