Black Feathered Dove

Her figure flowing by hazy streams,
Waves swirling in the sky,
Drifting through times’ now vanished dream,
Whose life’s still a passing in days gone by?

And her callous tears plunge to an empty world,
Dripping upon life’s vacant grave,
Her last three words, ‘I’ll never leave’,
Forever restless, her eternal slave.

No breath to breathe, no heart to love,
No soul to sleep in her grave above,
Forever dieing, her drifting ruin,
In the eyes of dusks’ black feathered dove.

The shroud of death upon her back,
Unbeating heart she killed with love,
Flying through shadows as night arrives,
Watching over you always, her black feathered dove.
