The Real Me

It tears me up inside,
Knowing I can't have,
The thing I'll always want.
I feel like I've been wanting forever.
Each day I need you more and more,
But each day I find you less and less.
For I can barely ever talk to you,
Without careless-ness.
For when I talk to you,
It makes me want you ever more.
But when I'm not talking to you,
It makes me long forever more.
It hurts that it will be a while,
Until I can finally have you.
But when we depart,
I'll be torn apart further more.
For I hurt so much,
That every little pinprick,
Feels like so much more,
Then it really is.
For one day I'm going to burst,
Because I hold everything in.
No one knows the pain I feel,
Or my love for you.
So I shall continue to live this life,
Which is all just a lie.
For no one knows the real me,
Not even I.
