You blinded me with politics
With your witty writing
And gut-renching plot
Your charactur development
And beautiful sorrow
Your histerical quotes
And tear-jerking moments
With your outstanding cast
And your ingenious creator
Your loves and losses
And your "funny, funny jokes"
You blinded me with politics
And forgot to tell the truth
As I wake up from you amazing melody
I turn on the news
And see the terror
Of our real leader
I think to myself
How could something so wonderful
Really be something so terrible?
You blinded me with your politics
But opened my mined
To what could
But never will Be
