Eternal Dance

The night is growing old and so are we
This is never how I pictured it would be
I am so full of life but I am empty inside
My expectations were unreal I always aim too high
And so I ask for this one dance
Before I call it quits and go in for the night
We can dance forever and a day
And hold each other so tight
And this wont mean a thing come tomorrow
Everything will be just the way it was
And that is okay
But grant me this one wish
Share with me this one slow dance
Let the night drift away as we smile
The feeling is wrong
But it is true
That's all I know
So come with me I beg you
Let me take you by the hand this once
And let us dance forever
