Hated For The Wrong Reason

She somberly walks on the docks upon the water
She sits on the ledge of the boards over looking the river and what lies
beyond
She takes a long, hard look at the clouds in the blue sky
She begins to wonder what it would be like to be in heaven
However that reverie soon fades away
Tears of frustration fall from her empty eyes
She leans over and sees her reflection in the water below
She wipes away the tears with her index fingers
She looks down and sees her wrists
They are covered in scars from the past
This girl just wants to be accepted for who she is
Why must she be hated for her sexuality
She gets up and walks to the bank of the river
She falls to the ground and begins to cry and think about everyone
But yet again her thoughts quickly fade away
She finds a broken clam shell and grasps it in her hand
She cries out to god "Deliver me from evil"
She says to herself "Its time"
Then without hesitation she glides the shell with much pressure across her
wrist
She watches as the deep red blood escapes from her wound
Everything around her becomes blurry
Finding strength to say a few words she shouts "It's finally
over"
Everything goes blank
There this innocent girl lies and her soul put to rest... forever
