Hold me

Holding my heart in the palm of my hand,
praying for strength to keep me on my feet;
bleeding and broken, tattered and torn,
I’ve conquered my greatest, most dreaded defeat.
Falling from heavens, I rest on a cloud,
impatiently awaiting the day that I wake;
reach for the sky as I drift from the sun,
the light in my eyes is just too much to take.
Hold me my love, as tight as you can,
I’ll give you my heart 'till the stars die away;
stare at the sky with me, drift into the night,
I’ll hold you for life, if you promise to stay.
I missed you my darling, you left me alone,
rescue me love, from my soft suicide;
falling together, in pieces we live,
drying the tears that together we've cried.
Hold me my love, as tight as you can,
I’ll give you my heart, 'till life fades away;
drift in to the night with me, we've reached the sky,
I’m yours, yours forever, forever to stay.
