In a world where I deserve no praise
I continue to walk this earth-alone-
Doing what I can to repair the little
Problems that I see as I travel from
Place to place. Why do I do what I do
For nothing? Why do I do what I do
For no material goods, money...not
Even praise?
I don't know.
Even so, they sit me down
At their tables-these families and
People I help-and they feed me;
They provide me with shelter anyway.
And as I say and continue to say
That the only thing I need in return,
The only...reward I need is to know
That they are happy; to know that
I have helped.
In a world where I deserve no praise
I continue to walk this earth-alone-
Doing what I can to repair the little
Problems that I see as I travel from
Place to place, and the only reward
I need is to know that you all are happy.
