What Could Have Been

If you wait, you'll always be too late.
Watch it fail time and time again.
So what the hell are you waiting for?
I love it when you fall.

I know I no longer care, but it still irritates me so.
He once had my heart, and she's had his twice,
When she doesn't care, while I was alone and lost in the twilight.
She's shallow and pathetic, she says I love you to someone new
everyday,
I know it won't last more than a week.

I really don't care anymore; love is something that I've left
behind,
But what bothers me now is that way back then, when I could have been true,
Why were you so blind to me?
What could I do?

So what the hell are you waiting for?
When I waited I missed my one chance, I was too late.
And look at me now, isn't it great?
I don't really think so, so get up and don't be afraid,
Don't let darkness own your day.

So take my advice, because even though I may be young,
I know more than you could ever know.
So while you go participate, I'll just observe.
And while you're happy, in the meantime...I'll love it when THEY
fall.
