There’s a star in the sky just for you…
Its very bright and brilliant (just like you)…

Every night I look up in the sky at the brightest star…
It’s the one I know is yours…

I close my eyes for a moment…
and I see your beautiful smile and laughter…

A tear falls upon my cheek, not because of sadness…
It’s because of your brightness…

You’re a strong, courageous woman…
with two more treatments left…

You keep on shining like the stars…
And I will reach for your star every night…

and hold on to it until this is over…
and remember, I am with you along the way…

( I wrote this for my cousin in March 2001, she has breast cancer and was
starting her chemo treatments).
