You were always there,
To fall back on when I
felt alone,
And even when I was
scared,
I was never scared on
my own.

You tell me I'm like
your sister,
And deep down inside
it hurts,
To see the way you are
with her,
She flips her hair and
flirts.

I silently wish to be like
her,
Not just a sister to you,
Strange feelings inside me
stir,
And suddenly I'm afraid
of you.

Before we were only friends,
We've known each other
way to long,
I wait for these feelings
to end,
And wonder where I went
wrong.

Why am I so unwanted?
What have I got to lose?
So like a silver knight
undaunted,
I simply have to choose.

I sit in unhappy silence,
And hold back my tears,
Covering up with a smile,
And hiding from my fears.
