The wall was cheery and yellow as she skipped through the door,
She thought of the boy and the day they had shared.
'Everything is wonderful,' she said.
She took out a knife and sketched a sun on the wall,
While it looked on approvingly.
And she was happy,
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was a lusty pink as she floated through the door,
She thought of the kiss and the boy she shared it with.
'I hope this never ends,' she said.
She took out the knife and sketched a big heart,
With the initials of a boy.
While she told the wall all about 'love'.
And she was in lust,
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was a passionate rose as she raced through the door,
She thought of his words and the boy that had said them.
'He loves me,' she said.
She took out the knife and sketched her boyfriend.
While the wall listened intently and smiled with her.
And she was in love.
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was a sad blue as she wandered in the door,
She thought of the fight and the words the boy said.
'I messed up,' she said.
She took out the knife and sketched rain clouds.
While the wall offered comfort and careful words.
And she was broken.
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was an envious green as she stomped through the door,
She thought of the girl that had taken her place.
'I hate this,' she said.
She took out the knife and sketched the new girl’s initials,
Then burned them with an ugly 'X'.
While the wall cursed the boy.
And she was miserable.
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was pitch black as she sauntered through the door,
She thought of what her life had become.
'Why bother?' she said.
She took out the knife, and sketched ugly slashes into her body.
While the wall looked on hopelessly.
And she was crying.
And so was the wall.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
The wall was completely white as her father entered the room.
He thought of everything he had done wrong.
But the wall did not utter a word,
The sketches were gone.
The color was gone.
His daughter was gone.
But of course that is silly,
Walls have no thoughts,
No feelings,
No emotions.
Everyone knows that.
