Seeing you on campus again
Made me smile…
Something I haven’t done in awhile.
With brows moved forward in a shape of a frown,
You seemed unsure of my reaction.

You reached out for me,
Grabbed my hand
And brought me closer to you
Like you used to do.

Eyes…so mysterious, shady and unclear
Filled with tears…
Me unable to understand
Hiding something deep inside
Simply away from it all.

All of a sudden, you started wandering away
Not telling me when, why, or where like you used to.
Running after you like a group of dogs after a piece of meat
Losing you in the crowd.

A sound interrupted my trance,
Trying to figure out its origin
I found myself tangled in my sheets
Confused…trying to figure out what happened
Only to find a pillow soaked with tears.

I realized that is what you were hiding.
You had to go again
Leaving me alone
Breaking your promise for a second time.
