Sitting in your car,
Wrapped in our blanket of stars,
Holding hands, there’s nobody around,
“Except the people in the other cars.”

Sat behind the steering wheel,
You beside me all the way,
And I swear if I could drive,
I would have driven far away.

And that night you made me smile so much,
Though your face was white as a ghost,
I couldn’t drive but you were wrong,
Said I wouldn’t hit that lamppost!

You make me laugh when I fall down,
But it makes me cry when you’re not around,
And I know I shouldn’t but I do,
That night showed me what was true,
I love you.
