My hands gone numb
from the vibration

Of the shooting gun
defending my nation

this isnt a normal place
its not party, no vacation

but its my home for 8 months
away from my family

but these men and guns
are my new hospitality

For I am homesick
I miss my wife

This place has changed me
I have a new life

This place is cold
and wet to often

I hope this fighting
doesnt end me up in a coffin

Ill come home soon
with honor and pride

but in this war
i will not hide

*dedicated to the troops*
