Get Inside Me

Please take the wind.
Let it carry you far away from the pain.
Every cut I make, every tear I cry,
nothing was lost, nothing was gained.

You're so afraid to see what I see,
you have no idea why I hide.
I may laugh outloud,
but there's another story, on the inside.

Walk a million miles in my shoes,
you won't get very far.
After your heart starts bleeding,
they turn into scars.

I lost all energy to continue this fight.
It's so tiring trying to be me,
I can no longer see the light.

Brush off the pain,
I never cryed for nothing.
When you feel your cheaks flush,
I'll be watching.

I strung wires upon my heart,
in hopes you wouldn't break it once again
But I made a mistake,
let you in

I pulled the hood over my eyes
and you looked as if you were confused
but you don't know what it's like
to feel dryed up and used

I want to leave you behind
forget my goodbye
and when you start to shed a tear
I want to stare into your eyes

For 10 seconds of your life
you'll cringe at the sound of their voices
you'll want to isolate your soul
and take a step back
look at everything in sight
everything you lack
