I've torn apart every sunset that's come to my disposal
only to find that each one carries hopes and dreams deferred.
But as I tried to turn away, somehow I stumbled 'cross my own
that I had placed inside myself, praying they'd go undiscovered.
But alas, here they be, again they're calling out to me,
and I cry out in sadness for the pain that is renewed.
All I've ever wanted, all I've ever dreamed for in this life
is dead and gone from me like the sunsets I abused.
