My heart is forever locked away
It's too weak for the light of day
For now it has grown to be so dark
It is scarred for life with this deep mark
My heart was once love struck
Now it has unfortunate luck
It understands no feeling other than the cold
It never again will unfold
It remains frozen deeply in ice
It vows to not let this happen twice
It won't ever again be vulnerable or naive
Its life-longing task is to forever grieve
It passes each day helplessly broken
And never again shall those three words be spoken
For love is simply hate in disguise
It's not ever-lasting, it eventually dies
It captures and tortures your soul
and in your heart it leaves a huge hole
It makes many promises it will not keep
The fine print is you will always weep
