I see you last year
Laughing through the days with me
Friendship bracelets from the heart
Swearing gossip and rumors would never throw us apart

Fall came
Still seeing each other
Seeing her like she was my brother

Winter was blue
But the time i spent with you always flew
Seemed like Winter fell to Spring
But our relationship began to melt away
As though with the snow

Spring came
Time was spent less and less
Our lives mixed up in a mess

Summer washed away like the tide
Ignoring each other and trying to hide
But then school really came
Things were not the same

We didn't talk at all
Passing each other in the hall
Talking in our own groups
Gossiping about each other

Friendship bracelets fade
Losing strands and becoming unmade
The friendship becomes hate
Jealously kicks in
Love thrown into the trash bin

I still remember those times we had
Tearfully eyeing them pretty sad
The smooth rhythm in your voice
Not the rough jaged tone

The day we made those bracelets
Smiles on our faces
Couldn't have been wider

Day By Day
Friends will change
Days will go on
New friends will come
Day By Day
