Ashes

I sing a soothing
Lullaby
To force myself to
Sleep
The sleeping pills
Won’t kick in
Till 9 o’ clock AM

So I sit here
Begging to you god
To just leave me alone
Let me cry on my own
Do you not hear
Do you not see
You must hear
You must see
You must know
Because
When it is bad
You always
Make it worse

So I beg to you god
Pled to you lord above
To leave me alone
Go torture
Some other
Poor soul
Mines already
Been demolished
All you left was
The ashes
To get me through
The rest
So now I pled
For death
But there’s nothing left
But blown away
Ashes
Across my vacant
life
