The secret
Of my life
Lives deep
Within my eyes
Hiding away
From those
Who don’t see
I'd rather
Go un-noticed
Stay in the dark
Then walk
In the light
Only to find
The laughter
Of those
Who say
They care
Now I see
I'm left here alone
To confide in my cries
Because even
My knife
Has turned
Its back
No pain
I make
Can take
My mind off
The happiness
I lack
