A Lost Friend


I lost a friend today,
Only because of what other people had to say.
It hurts to see her leave,
But, she says all I do is lie and decieve.
We were supposed o best Friends untill we die,
I guess that was yet another lie.
I layin bed and stare out into space,
I try to sleep but, all I see is her face.
It hurts to let her go away,
I see bits and pieces of our life long friendship disapear everyday.
No more smiles or waves in the hall,
Not a single late night phone call.
She says we cant go back to before,
and then she speaks no more.
Now, theres nobody to tell my hopes, dreams, or fears,
No sholder to cry on no one to wipe away my tears.
My other friends say it will be okay,
That she will return to me someday.
I hope that someday is near,
So I wont have to shed another tear.
Time willhelp my heart mend,
And I will soon find another friend.
But no one can compare to her,
Not even close to what we were.
