Bad Dream

As the light turns dark and I crawl into my bed,
I pull the covers over onto my head.
I feel the warmth and I know what will happen tonight,
It will be another dream, another deadly fight.
I close my eyes, prepare for the worst,
Somehow the little girl in my dream is cursed.
I can see clearly now, the child in pink,
I can see the light as I stare and blink.
She’s frightened, I hear her call my name.
How does she know me,
Maybe I’ve gone insane?
I walk up to her, try to touch her cheek.
I cannot feel her skin, I cannot speak.
She’s not real, she’s just a ghost.
I saw her fade away and watch at most.
She flies into the clouds, and all I can see is mist.
It’s a freaky dream with a tied-up twist.
I wake up, suddenly my mouth feels dry.
And also suddenly I can feel a tear in my eye.
I go downstairs and try to breath,
The little girl is alive and tugging on my sleeve.
It is amazing, I see her with my own two eyes.
But I thought she floated away into the skies!
She asked for help, asked for a life.
Then I watched her walk over and suddenly appear with a knife.
She starts cutting herself, going a little wack.
It’s kind of like a freakish attack.
I can see the blood, see her hand and it popping up with veins,
I think something happened, something with her might have changed.
Next thing I knew she was on the floor,
Dead.. And I have no idea who this little girl was even before.
I suddenly rise again from my sweating pillow and it seems..
It was all just a bad dream.
