Reaching for a reason
Falling further and further
Being consumed by the darkness.

Searching for a friend
Reaching for a hand
Falling into peer pressure
Being something I'm not.

Searching for a light
Reaching for a star
Falling through the sky
Being as lifeless as I can.

Searching for strength
Reaching for comfort
Falling into weakness
Being unable to stand.

Searching for love
Reaching for warmth
Falling into hatred
Being consumed by the darkness.
