When I needed you
You were always there
To guide me along
You always seemed to care

You never turned me down
When I needed help or guidance
You helped me along
With such great kindness

You always had the right things to say
At just the right times
You would make my gray clouds go away
In just a matter of time

You really understood me
And knew where I was coming from
And you actually listened to me
Never yelled, u always stayed calm

I miss you so much
I don’t have anyone here to talk to
To comfort my fears
Or just tell me 'I love you'

You were my rock
The one that kept me strong
You gave me your wisdom
Which helped me go along

Now that you’re gone
I don’t know where to turn
I need your wisdom and love
To teach me lessons I need to learn

John I love you so much
And I wish you were here
So I can hear your voice
And not shed another tear

I know you’re with me
In all ways that you can
I wish I could’ve said how much I love you
And that you were a great man

*note* john was my cousin but like my brother my dad shot and killed him in
front of me and this poem is to him.
