Can't Do It Alone

The tides have changed, the views are now flipped
I fin'ly see, the other side of it.
The mem'ries are harsh, the pain so severe
Determined to never again, let it be my cause of tears.
A repeat of history, right before my eyes,
I see the confusion, contention, and lies.
But now I'm almost faced to choose sides
Must *I* make a choice? I'd rather just hide!
If I listen to one, the other gets mad,
If I go with the other, then I'll lose what I had.
Why are the same circumstances once again here?
I swore it'd never happen again, that it'd never get near.
But now it's not only here, it's smacked me right in the face.
The main source of these faults is possible to trace.
Yet what is there to do? How can things be the same now?
If someone'd show me, I'd surely learn how.
But I'm only one person, there's only so much I can do.
I can't change the world alone, I need some help too.
