permanent fades

thick
each drip endeavors
thick to pass
it asks of me
the lining of the coffin laughs at me

as if this rose will pinkin your cheeks
as if these tears will seep beneath
soak threw the silver clasps
moisten your lips
from what seams like a thousand feet
I listen
with this thought
the rose slips between
the color fades
casual
I remember every fold of each petal
i exhale
heavy and deep
as if that last breath will keep your lungs full
just incase,
I wait..
