I'll Be There

Even in the cold and darkness of the night,
Even when there is not a speck of light,
Even when it seems nobody cares,
I’ll be there.

When the wind howls and moans,
When you feel all alone,
When you say love is rare,
I’ll be there.

As the tides begin to rise,
As animals run to hide,
As you life is challenged to a dare,
I’ll be there.

By the time the rain falls in anger,
By the time kindness is a stranger,
By the time people start to stare,
I’ll be there.

Through the thunder’s mighty roar,
Through the times you want more,
Through the winter that’s cold and bare,
I’ll be there.

While your life is at stake,
While your tears form a lake,
While the cab takes more than your fare,
I’ll be there.

And the waves may crash,
And the flames may rash,
And it destroys it’s lair,
And I’ll be there.

Among the screams and cries,
Among the deceit and lies,
Among the pulling of hair,
I’ll be there,

Despite the horrors and frights,
Despite life’s slopes and heights,
Despite the slash from the bear,
I’ll be there.

Forget the white dove,
Forget everything said above,
Forget who or where-
I’ll be there.

After the pain and suffers,
After getting a little tougher,
After life’s deadly tear,
I’ll be there.

Still, when blades cut,
Still, when you think there’s no luck,
Still, somebody cares...
‘Cause I’ll be there.
