Behind The Door

The cat hovers close by the door, just waiting to get in.
She tries everything she can, so she can finally win.
She knows what lies behind the door, and wants to feel the warmth.
She wants to know the truth behind, and to no longer mourn.
She begs and pleads, she cries aloud, but none seem to suffice.
She shouts into the lonely crowd, but none will give advice.
"Please help me someone let me know, what is it I must do?
I don't know how to get inside, and none will let me through!"
All alone and in the dark, she's nothing left to show,
She can't progress, she can't regress, she's nowhere left to
go.
A key unlocking this door she's by, is her one, only way out.
But the pain of being left behind now leaves herself to doubt.
Stories are read, and tales are told, but what of for her own?
She can't continue living on, being this alone.
But until the key to this door's found, the cat remains outside.
Hope is bleak and times are cold, she knows it's all been tried.
Since no one from the other side, will succumb and open up,
She remains behind the door, indefinitely stuck.
