I have dreams,
Sometimes wonderful,
Sometimes not.
I see memories,
Almost like pictures,
Still vivid to this day.
I still remember how you used
To hold in me in your arms,
How you used tell me
You love me
And tuck me in at night.
I remember how at
Night you would try
To sneak in my room
And kiss me.
But then,
Good memories fade,
And I remember how
Weak you looked,
How you always
Thought about the worst.
I recall
How your eyes
Used to water
With silent cries
To God asking him
To protect me when
You passed away.
I remember how
Every night,
I would go to your
Room and watch you
Fade,
Watch you rot from the outside in.
And when I went to sleep,
I would cry out for you.
I would cry out for you,
For you not to leave me.
I would pray that you would
Always be here.
And now,
I still cry out at times,
Hoping you can hear me
Say
"Mommy,
I love you,
Come back to me.
Mommy,
I miss you,
I need you."
And at night,
I still remember
You.
And I start to
Have dreams.
