The world knows what goes on
Honestly come on
We all know what goes on
It can be stopped
Children shouldn’t be shot
Or hit
Forced to admit
What goes on at home?
When they are left alone
They have no phone to use for "help"
Look at the child’s face when out comes the belt
Can anyone see the pain?
And how they hide the shame
Of being hit by their father
Or mother
Some children are even killed
In some very sick ways
Over many days
Of doing nothing wrong
Only wanting to have a true mom
That gives a kiss good night
Not leaving a loved one in fright
Allowing to get a night light
If the world knows what goes on
Why hasn’t it been stopped?
Kids being shot
Left alone all night
Praying for light
Think of the fright
They go through every night
How do they get by without a bite?
Of food to last to see the nights to come
They never have fun
Can you see their dreams?
Or hear their screams?
As they cry
How hard must they try?
They don’t deserve to die
Is this even real
Is it how they feel I believe it is?
No matter how hard it is to admit
Some parents just can’t handle shit
