Day by day and hour by hour, I slowly make it through
I try to get my mind off things, and forget that I miss you
Yet ev'rything I see and hear, relates to you somehow.
You are gone I tell myself, but my heart will not allow
I can't let go 'cause you're still here, if only here in spirit
You're miles away, yet somehow near, don't know how but I can feel it.
You are where you need to be, I have no doubt of that
You'll learn so much while you're away, great knowledge you'll bring back.
But for so long I'm left alone, with no one I can turn to
Lost, afraid, and by myself, still trials I must go through.
The biggest trial I'm faced with now, is how I can move on
Forget the past til time is right, to pick up where we left off.
A million things run through my head, it's becoming quite a line
Awaiting the day of your return, taking one day at a time.
