“Young and In Love”
Woke up with nails in my skull
stabbing and trying to get out
this pain is falling about 6 miles short
of the misery when I left you alone
or am I mixing up the story in my head?
was it you who did the leaving?
was I left cold and shivering under the streetlight?

Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Dreams built ten thousand miles high
The pit for disaster dug ten miles deeper
Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love

Phone sits idle waiting your call
a single word could lift me from this sorrow
but instead you used your jackhammer
to bring down my walls and crack the floodgates
reach my hand up as these ice waters rise
is this your dream, for me to die?
is this your dream, for me to die?

Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Dreams built ten thousand miles high
The pit for disaster dug ten miles deeper
Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love

Got to sleep tonight in time with the sunrise
tossing and turning, finding no safety in sleep
light on my face like days spent in your eyes
now those days have come and gone oh yeah
and this noose tightens around my cut throat
and this noose tightens around my cut throat

Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Dreams built ten thousand miles high
The pit for disaster dug ten miles deeper
Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Dreams built ten thousand miles high
The pit for disaster dug ten miles deeper
Yes I was yes I was
Oh to be young and in love
Oh to be young and in love
Oh to be young
Oh to be young
And in love….
