Sometimes all of us say things we don’t mean to let out
But at the same time, you want to explain in detail what you’re problem’s
about.
I didn’t know how else to say what I was feeling inside
And for the longest time, just tried my best to stay back and hide.
I finally let out my thoughts of the past year
And my every thought, every pain has now turned into fear.
I know I should have handled things in a different way
And all of those thoughts I did not mean to say.
They just kind of came out, kind of unexpectedly
But didn’t think how it would affect the way the future would be.
I’m sorry I could find no other way to tell how I felt
But now instead of peace I’m dealing with all this guilt.
I know what I’ve done may have been stupid or harsh,
And I cannot believe it’s been taken this far.
I see the mess I created, and want to take everything back.
I’m sorry I screwed things up so much—that is a true fact.
But no one else would say, what I knew they were feeling
We all want you as our friend, but I’m not sure how you’re dealing
I can’t bear to cause you anymore anguish or pain
But I know in confrontation, regrettable things will be said yet again.
I’m afraid things will get even worse than they already are
I can’t pretend anymore, it’s already gone way too far.
Forgiveness can be a very wonderful thing
And it would be so nice if for once everyone was listening
With open ears, hearts, and eyes
To see different views, so no one would be despised.
I feel like my single last thread of hope is now gone
For us all to be friends, for the hope of time to bond.
Please give ma a chance to begin again new
And if you choose yes, then let’s get to work now cuz we’ve got lots to do.
