It's Not His Fault

Picked him out all by myself,
He was near the bottom shelf.
So small, so inocent,
I held him close.
He was the one I knew I loved the most.

Black and White
Stretching on his small tummy.
Green eyes so bright
He then realized I was his mommy.

One time mommy left the door wide open.
She didn't realize he thought of somethin'.

Wow, what's that?
A new type of air?
Something to bat at
I want to play out there.

He ran really far,
Without paying attention.
It started to get cold,
And he didn't like this condition.

Strange figures came close
Picked him up with a hard boast.

He got scared and tried to get free,
Scratched the faces and made them bleed.

They were really mad,
And stated to hurt him really bad.

That night my kitten ran away
He was tortured to death,
By doing things i do not want to say.

The strangers were kids who hated cats.
My cat was so inocent, who just played with toy rats.

They were not thinking of how they could have hurt me.
All they were trying to do was be as evil as can be.
